Setting up CouchPotato directly to rTorrent

Here is a quick walkthrough of how to set up rTorrent in CouchPotato.

Go to Settings then choose Downloaders.

Turn Black Hole off and turn rTorrent on. You will get options like this:

Fill out the settings from your rTorrent details as follows:

Setting	Value
Username	Your rTorrent username
Password	Your rTorrent password
Host	username.servername.bysh.me/rutorrent

Press Test rTorrent — you will get Connection failed. Check logs for details.

Then in Host, replace the value with:

username.servername.bysh.me/rutorrent/plugins/httprpc/action.php

Press Test rTorrent again and you will get Connection successful — you are all set.
