How to update Cardigann

⚠️ Cardigann has been superseded by Prowlarr. Prowlarr includes Cardigann tracker definitions natively and updates them automatically — no manual update needed. If you are starting fresh, use Prowlarr instead.

The instructions below are kept for users who still have a standalone Cardigann installation.

Note: This update method only works for Cardigann installations made after October 20th. If your installation is older than that, a full reinstall is required.

Connect to your box via SSH — see the KiTTY guide if you are on Windows.

To update to the latest stable version:

~/apps/cardigann/cardigann update

To update to the latest unstable (edge) version:

~/apps/cardigann/cardigann update --channel=edge

Once the update is complete, restart Cardigann from your dashboard.
