Transfer data from another seedbox to your Appbox via VNC and FTP

If you prefer a graphical approach, you can transfer data from another seedbox to your Appbox by using VNC and FileZilla, which is pre-installed in the VNC environment.

First, install VNC from your app list by clicking Install Application in the top right corner of your Account details page.

Then follow the VNC guide to install a VNC client on your computer and connect to your Appbox.

Once connected to VNC, open the Start menu and launch FileZilla.

In FileZilla, enter the FTP details of your old seedbox in the Host, Username and Password fields and press Quickconnect. In the Local site field, enter your Appbox home folder path, which can be found in your Box details — for example:

/home/hd1/username/

You can now create a destination folder and drag your files across to transfer them to your Appbox.
