First, the part that confuses people

They are not the same company

  • Bytesized AppBox is ours. It is the customer name for our managed hosting platform at bytesized-hosting.com, operating continuously since 2009.
  • appbox.co belongs to The Seedbox Company. That is a separate business trading as seedboxco.net. "AppBox" is the name of their product, not a connection to us.
  • No affiliation, no shared infrastructure. Different teams, different networks, different support. If you signed up at appbox.co, you are not a Bytesized customer, and the other way around.

How to tell which one you are on

  • Check the domain. Bytesized lives at bytesized-hosting.com. Anything at appbox.co or seedboxco.net is The Seedbox Company.
  • Check the dashboard. Our control panel is the Bytesized Panel. Billing and login both run through bytesized-hosting.com.

Why a Bigger Gbps Number Is Not a Faster Seedbox

Port speed is a ceiling, not a guarantee

A 25 Gbit port is the maximum the network card could theoretically push. Your actual download and upload speed is set by the disk, the tracker or peers, and how many other customers share that hardware. A high headline number tells you almost nothing about what you will really get.

Disk I/O is the real bottleneck

Seedboxes are bound by storage, not the port. Spinning disks shared across many accounts saturate long before a 10 Gbit link does, let alone a 25 Gbit one. Sustained, reliable transfer comes from how the hardware is provisioned, not the figure on the landing page.
