Description

Emby is a media server application for streaming movies, TV shows, music, and live TV. It provides a web-based interface and apps for all major platforms, making it a solid alternative to Plex and Jellyfin.

Installation

Emby is available as a one-click install from your Bytesized dashboard. Click Install next to Emby in your app list and it will be ready within seconds.

Getting Started

After installation, access Emby through the link on your dashboard. On first launch, Emby will guide you through the setup wizard:

Choose your preferred language
Create an admin account
Add your media libraries

Tips and Tricks

Connecting to Your Media

If you use Sonarr, Radarr, or other download automation tools on Bytesized, your media is already in the right folders. Just point Emby to the paths listed above.

Remote Access

Emby is accessible remotely through your Bytesized dashboard link. No port forwarding or additional configuration is needed.

Hardware Transcoding

Hardware transcoding is available on GPU AppBox plans. This allows Emby to transcode 4K content smoothly without high CPU usage.
