What Dispatcharr Does

Dispatcharr is a self-hosted IPTV stream manager. It sits between your IPTV sources and your media server, providing:

• Stream routing with automatic failover — if one stream buffers, it switches to the next
• EPG guide data management — your TV guide stays accurate
• HDHomeRun emulation — Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby discover it as a live TV tuner
• VOD management — organize video-on-demand content from IPTV providers

Think of it as the control center for live TV on your seedbox.

Setup on Bytesized

1. Install Dispatcharr from the dashboard (one click)
2. Add your IPTV provider(s) — M3U playlist URLs
3. Dispatcharr imports channels and EPG data
4. Add Dispatcharr as an HDHomeRun tuner in Plex or Jellyfin

Integration with Plex

In Plex, go to Settings → Live TV & DVR → Set Up Plex DVR. Plex discovers Dispatcharr as an HDHomeRun tuner. Select channels, map EPG data, and you have live TV in Plex with DVR recording capability.

Integration with Jellyfin

In Jellyfin, go to Dashboard → Live TV and add Dispatcharr as a tuner device. Map the EPG source and channels appear in Jellyfin's live TV guide.
